Outdoor Learning Environment
Rock Hills Jr/Sr High School has a new outdoor learning environment funded by a grant from the Jewell County Community Foundation. The outdoor learning environment includes the addition of three red and black tables with matching umbrellas to provide a comfortable seating area for outdoor learning. This new space helps support all students who currently attend Rock Hills Jr/Sr High School, future attending students, and community members who frequent school and community events. This was a student-led project; students in Mrs. Walker’s Technical Writing course wrote the grant and other Rock Hills students assembled the tables. Since 2018, the Jewell County Community Foundation has built stronger communities and helped donors make a difference through charitable giving in Jewell County. Each year, the foundation distributes thousands of dollars back to our region through community grants.
